When she is not on a disaster, training or assisting in the Noah’s Wish office, she spends her time with her husband, her dog Kota, friends and spends at least one week every year in Yosemite.
Michele Cutler – Coordinator
Disaster Experience: (4) hurricanes (3) fires (4) floods (2) tornadoes (1) support mission to Poland
Michele has been a coordinator with Noah’s Wish since it was established in 2002. She first trained in 1996 to respond to the needs of animals in disasters. Since 1997, she has responded to many hurricanes, floods, fires and tornados. A great deal of her experience is in search and rescue, as well as, community outreach. Her twenty years of experience with horses has also been invaluable when responding to disasters.
Currently, Michele is a Flight Attendant with a major Airline. Her experience has taught her to deal with emergency situations, medical issues and solve problems at 35,000 feet. She is presently seeking a career change by attending Colorado State University pursuing a Master in Management Practice in the College of Business. Coupled with her undergraduate degree in Natural Resources, Recreation and Tourism-Environmental Communications and a minor in Conservation Biology, she hopes to continue her passion for animals, conservation and the environment through future opportunities in a new profession.
Michele lives in Colorado with her cats, two Great Pyrenees, two horses, two yearlings and her very loving and supportive husband, Ted, who also shares her passion for animals by volunteer for Noah’s Wish. She is continuously grateful for the opportunity to work with Noah’s wish by nurturing her love for animals through helping the four legged victims of disasters.
Diane Drake – Coordinator
Disaster Experience: (2) fires
Diane has a knack for creating order out of chaos in emergency shelters and when not responding to disasters, Diane is at home on her ranch in Colorado, where she tends to her wide assortment of her own animals.
Amy Maher – Coordinator
Disaster Experience: (3) hurricanes (1) flood
Amy has served as an Assistant State’s Attorney in Madison County, Illinois, since 1989. She handles juvenile and felony cases, and is the Chief Prosecutor in the Animal Cruelty Division. A 1988 graduate of the University of Notre Dame Law School, she has served as an adjunct professor at the Southwestern Illinois College Police Academy and has done extensive training for law enforcement personnel.
Dianne Montague – Coordinator
Disaster Experience: (2) hurricanes (3) fires
Dianne lives in Millbrook, New York with her six horses, four dogs, one cat, two potbelly pigs and 20 chickens. She became active with the organization in 2003 and has responded to both Hurricane Ivan and Katrina. Dianne began and is on the Board of Directors of a therapeutic riding program for people with disabilities called “Mile’s End Equine Assisted Learning Center”. Her years of experience with horses and livestock make her a valuable asset to the organization.

Susan Haraway – Coordinator

Susan has been with Noah’s Wish since it was founded in 2002 and has been involved with animal disaster work since 1999. She was the co-owner of a veterinary hospital for almost 4 years, where she was able to use her experience as an RN to help her true love – animals. She was able to develop the skills necessary to care for animals in the hospital’s boarding facility, which has made her an invaluable asset in the shelter aspect of disasters.
Susan lives in the St. Louis area and works for the Musculoskeletal Transplant Foundation as a Donor Coordinator. She evaluates potential tissue donors, as well as, speaks with the bereaved family members to give them information about eye & tissue donation. She then coordinates the recovery of the tissue donations. Susan also works in the Emergency Room of an area hospital.
Susan is the mother of 5 canine children, one of whom is a Katrina survivor.
Lori Trahan – Coordinator
Disaster Experience: (1) Tornado
Lori has been involved with Noah’s Wish since 2006, actively attending trainings each year. In 2011, she was one of the training site liaisons for the Dallas, GA training, including securing the location and sponsorship dollars to cover the training. She has been working with Good Mews Animal Foundation, a no-kill, cage-free cat shelter in Marietta, GA, since 2000, where she has served as a board member, adoption counselor, fundraising event coordinator, and foster home. She is currently the Assistant Director of Career Services at Kennesaw State University, as well as working on her Ph.D. in Counselor Education at the University of Georgia, where her dissertation topic involves working with disasters on college campuses. Lori resides with her “zoo” of kitties in Dallas, GA. One of her cats, Zach, loves to help with disaster preparedness presentations by demonstrating how to properly use the Evac-Sak.
